Use it or lose it
I used a wonderful 仮名 tutor .swf from I-don’t-know-where to master 平仮名 a couple of weeks ago, but now, after a very busy time at work, I’ve forgotten at least half of them. It just goes to show that even the simplest knowledge can be lost if not hammered in, right through the membrane that separates the working memory from the storage memory. If I can get control over the multitude of tasks and goals that keep me up 18-20 hours a day, I’ll definitely refresh my 仮名 with daily study until I’m comfortable with reducing the exercise frequency.
This 仮名 tutor isn’t quite as good, but it’s what’s for dinner on the ‘net at present, in case you want to practice a bit.
Oh, and while we’re playing flash, do not click this link, unless you want to get sucked into an endless maze twisted into a mass of twisty little twists, trying to compute the butterfly effect on a cellular automaton. The sound is what makes it really addictive.
