Hanzibar is now commercial
Although I offered to contribute $100 to open-source it, the author of Hanzibar has made it a $10 commercial sale and keeps it closed. I guess I would have had to pony up quite a bit more than that, if he’s hoping to make it pay for his time. Now I rather regret contributing $10 to his donation box, but at least it put me on the list for a free license key to the commercial 1.0c release.
Hanzibar, in case you didn’t know it, is a Firefox/IE extension that translates en↔zh_CN, en↔zh_TW, en↔ja by mouse hover. If only it worked with Java applets! If only it worked with win32 apps via GetWindowText! If only it worked with the X11 clipboard!
But dltool 1.1 is open-source, from sourceforget, albeit written in C♭, so at least I have a windows clipboard translator. I’d really like to convert it to Java and add GetWindowText support for win32 via JNI in my copious free time…. sigh.
