Budding ontologist
I’ve been applying for ontology jobs lately. My high-flying low-brow logic and philosophy education might do me some good in this effort. Of course my insistence on full-time telecommuting isn’t helping any, and I don’t have real ontology experience or education, in the modern technical sense, but that has never stopped me before.
I dove into scientific supercomputing, dove into MPP compilers, dove into infosec and crypto, dove into Java GUIs, dove into P2P architecture, dove into DSP, dove into Neuroscience, and I can darn well dive into ontology too. It’s sooo close to NLP that I feel good vibes just thinking about it.
So now I’ve got another full-time job to do: Mastering the literature and open-source works of SemanticWeb, KR, AI, and CompLogic. For some value of ‘master’, of course.
